What is a GCM?

What is a Certified Professional Geriatric Care Manager?

A certified professional geriatric care manager (GCM) is a health and human services specialist who is a guide, advocate and resource for families caring for older and/or disabled relatives. They are members of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers, subscribe to their stringent Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, and have achieved certification through a combination of an advanced degree, supervised experience and successful passage of a national examination.

Most family members, when faced with challenging aging issues, do not know where to turn or who to trust to get the best information possible. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for older adults and their families by providing expert guidance, oversight, and advocacy. We accomplish this goal with the following services.
